Description
Los Angeles and Orange County is home to some of Southern California's best (and most historically significant) climbing. The area boasts a strong history with Bob Camps, Royal Robbins, Yvon Chouinard, John Bacher, John Long (Largo), John Yablonsky (Yabo), Lynn Hill, Michael Reardon, etc. The climbing includes granite, shale, sandstone (including some water polished ones), sandstone w/granitic cobbles, breccia (both water polished and wind and water erosion types-the difference between the boulders in malibu creek and miniholland), and a few limestone deposits.Granite
