Checkerboard Area

Description

This is the area to the left of the road as you are driving in to the main area.  Turn left instead of right and follow an old wooden fence to park at a few turnouts or at the campsite down at the bottom.  Then hike down the hill crossing the creek and then back up the hill on the other side to access the boulders.
