Description
From the stand, this problem is also referred to as the Hoch Mantel. I have heard conflicting rumors that Matt Hoch did this problem first, hence the name. One thing for sure is that Dan Mills did it first from a low sit start. Dan gave this start a V8 grade, but given the fact that nobody seems to be able to repeat it, suggests that the climb could be harder! The sit start relies on a rickety flake that will most likely break sometime soon. This will probably render the problem unclimbable.-R. Miramontes
