Description

Square Dance
The original start is under the roof, matched at a thin crack/slot/edge. Bust a seemingly improbable move to a large hold at the lip, then head right on the sloping shelf of the boulder.

Sit start as far underneath the lip as possible with your right hand at a small edge, left hand at the chalked rail.  Then work your way from underneath to a small knob and slopers to the beginning portion of the lip.  Traverse the lip for about 5 feet then top out.

This problem starts completely under the roof, matched on a thin slot/edge, not with one hand at the lip as I see many peeps doing these days.

Seems improbable, but it goes quick. I was going to list it in the guide from the higher start, but Rick gave me a ration of shit.

That 'original' start is an ass-dragging, filling-my-butt-crack-with-dirt, good ol' time! It's pretty much a lay-down start (according to rTm, it wasn't like that some years ago but people have been kicking dirt down from Swingdance, filling the sit start area with dirt). If your feet cut, they hit dirt immediately. Even if you could suck your knees in, your ass hits the ground anyway.

Yeah the dirt was never an issue when it was put up. Cutting your feet is not required if you find the tricky heel hook. Still not sure it's any harder than V3 which was the original rating.

I tried the heel and toe on the good feet way under but I'm shorter than you so when that left foot came off, so did the right heel. Starting that way felt solid but I would need that toe to stay on. haha I'll find a flat rock and start digging. =^P Either that or jam my heel in more?

Toe in really hard on the left foot and you can stick the first move without cutting too badly. It is possible to make the first move without the right heel hook.
